The following is just a small sample of the questions that are most frequently asked.

Can a PV system be expanded later?
Yes, as your energy needs increase, more panels can be added to an existing system, allowing you to expand the capacity of a Solar Power Plant to meet growing energy demands. . .  or to capitalise on new incentives and technological developments.

Can we install a solar power plant ourselves?
Whilst it is possible to install a system using your own in-house electicians, if you do not use an MCS Accredited installer, you may be unable to utilise government backed incentives such as Power Purchase Agreements.  It is also very likely to void manufacturer's warranties.

How big are commercial solar panels?
Commercial PV panels are typically around 1.8m by 1.1m, usually comprising of 60 individual cells.  In some installations, larger 72 cell panels (around 2.3m by 1.1m in size) may be used.

Do all of the panels have to be on the same roof?
Not at all!  As better described in FREE SOLAR INSTALLATIONS page, a solar power plant can span several roofs. . .  even if they are geographical separated.

How much space do I need?
For a 250 kW system (or multiples thereof), you'll need an area of around 1,400 M².

Can a PPA be used for a domestic system?
Solwr UK are commercial installers and PPAs only apply to solar power plants with a capacity over 50 kW. . .  for smaller scale domesic PV across South and West Wales, visit their residential PV site at solwr.wales

Can we get out of a PPA?
If you want to sell your business before your PPA contract expires, you can either;  transfer your PPA to the new owners, buy out the system, or terminate your contract and have the panels removed.

What does Solwr mean?
Solwr or, more correctly, Solŵr. . .  is Welsh for 'solar'!
