Integrated or 'in-roof' solar panels are embedded into the fabric of a roof, rather than being mounted on top of the existing tiles or slates.

This means that, whilst retro-fitting integrated solar panels can be a major undertaking that requires the removal of existing tiles or slates, and possible remedial work to the underlying structure, integrated solar is perfect for new builds or complete roof replacements.

These integrated PV systems are less obtrusive than surface mounted panels, flush fitting and 100% waterproof. . .  especially important in Britain!

Integrated solar should also be the first choice option for all new roofs or roof replacement projects.
